Daily Estimated Intake.

In the world of 2026, we are learning more and more about the type of ingredients that are in our food. It was a hot topic for a few months.

Personally, I notice my body responding differently depending on what I eat or drink that day. As I have gotten older and cleaned up my diet, certain food or drink will physically cause me discomfort or trigger my body to feel “off.” Alcohol and coffee? Bye. Fried and fast foods? Rare.

This had me thinking.

I hear the same comments from certain clients about their social media intake.

“Sara, I will be scrolling for an hour and realize I feel like shit.”

You do not see that being talked about on the news.

Look at your Screen Time Report.

Look at what social media you use.

You are intaking that sort of material for that many hours a day.

How does it really make you feel? Have you reflected on that before?

Take a moment.

We are so incredibly programmed to focus on physical health as a proactive way to elongate your life. However, we forget that mental health can absolutely contribute to someone’s fall downhill.

We go to the doctor when we feel crappy. We google symptoms and treatments to try at home. We attend physical therapy when we want an ailment to subside. We purchase supplements to make up for deficiencies.

But…mental health. We assume that one will go away on its own.

Or maybe if I ignore it long enough it will disappear.

Because it always has, right? For generations!

Physical ailments (scrapes, bruises, abrasions) we can see. Therefore, easier fix.

Mental health? Can’t see it. Easier to ignore…but…it’s really not, my friend…is it?

We will listen to authors, podcasters, and public speakers.

We will listen to money coaches and social media influencers.

We will have consultations for face-lifts, but we won’t overhaul the type of messages we are allowing into our brains on a daily basis.

We will pay someone to come deep clean and organize our house, but we won’t purge social media apps on our phone and disconnect from the outside world in order to get to know who we are inside.

We will work hard to hit 10,000 steps, but we won’t journal for 5 minutes.

Go to therapy and listen to a licensed mental health professional with a master’s degree in thoughts & feelings? Nah.

Why is it so damn easy for us to focus on intake in our bodies but not our minds?

Why does physical health get such media popularity across the board, but mental health is still so stigmatized?

Why are we ignoring a mental investment opportunity that would last us a lifetime?

Reach out. Let’s revamp your mental health.
